Overview

The datasheet presents the Series Miniature Slide Switches, designed for use in a variety of applications, including communication equipment and lighting devices. Models and Specifications

For instance, the Q contact material in the LXOX and LXIX models allows for a contact rating of 4 AMPS at 125 V AC or 28 V DC and a rating of 2 AMPS at 250 V AC. Additionally, these switches offer an electrical life of 10,000 make-and-break cycles at full load, with initial contact resistance below 10 milliohms.

Materials:

Housing: Made from black 6/6 nylon, meeting the UL94V-2 standard for flammability.
Actuator: Comprises the same 6/6 nylon and comes in black or natural color.
Contacts and Terminals: Consist of copper with silver plating, and the contact spring is made from either music wire or stainless steel.
Terminal Seal: Utilizes epoxy.

Operating Temperature: -30°C to +65°C
Storage Temperature: -30°C to +85°C

Electrical Specifications:

Insulation Resistance: A minimum of 10^9 ohms
Dielectric Strength: A minimum of 1,000 Vrms at sea level

Note that switches with 0, B, or G contact material are RoHS compliant. For specific or custom switches, customers are advised to consult the Customer Service Center.

Build-A-Switch

To customize a switch according to specific needs, the ‘Build-A-Switch’ section allows selection from various options in categories such as switch function, actuator, detent, mounting style, terminations, contact material, seal, and cap color. Details on each option are available from pages 1-20 through 1-24 in the datasheet and additional options can be discussed with the Customer Service Center.

Specifications include multiple actuator heights, ranging from .100″ to .590″, and functions, such as single-pole single-throw (SPST) and double-pole double-throw (DPDT). Mounting and termination options are varied, accommodating different design constraints. Furthermore, choices such as contact material—silver, gold, or gold over silver—and sealing options illustrate the versatility of these switches for various application environments.
