Overview

The KA258/KA258A, KA358/KA358A, and KA2904 are models of dual operational amplifiers developed by Fairchild Semiconductor, optimized for single power supply applications and adaptable to split power supply systems. Their design features high gain and internal frequency compensation for unity gain.

Features

The amplifiers boast several notable features, including a large DC voltage gain of 100dB and a wide power supply range. The KA258/KA258A and KA358/KA358A operate between 3 Volts to 32 Volts (or ±1.5V to ±16V for split supplies), while the KA2904 operates from 3 Volts to 26 Volts (or ±1.5V to ±13V). They also offer an extensive input common-mode voltage range that includes the ground.

These dual operational amplifiers have a low power supply current drain, which does not vary with changes in the magnitude of the power supply voltage, making them suitable for battery-operated devices. Moreover, their significant output voltage swing ranges from 0 Volts DC to Vcc – 1.5 Volts DC.

Applications
