Introduction

This service manual is designed to provide private users and service station personnel with a practical guide for periodical inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of WEBER DCOE series carburetors.

Task of the Carburetor

The carburetor’s task is to deliver a mixture of air and fuel in well-defined proportions, supplying the engine with the most suitable amounts according to the running conditions.

Test and Setting of Carburetor

The WEBER DCOE series of carburetors are delivered tested and set as prescribed for the vehicle they have been made for. No alteration of the setting should consequently take place, as this might upset the regular running of the engine.

Removal of Carburetor from Engine

Disconnect the air filter or air intake and relative carburetor connections, then disconnect the carburetor connecting rod, air intake fixing support, and loosen the sheath fixing screw. After removal, protect the manifold suction port.

Fuel Decantation Filter

Disassemble and assemble the fuel decantation filter by removing the filter tap, checking the perfect efficiency of the gasket, and making sure the filter gauze is not damaged. Reassemble in the reverse order, ensuring the gasket is in perfect contact with the surface.
