Overview
The MODX7 is a music synthesizer that comes with four reference guides: the Owner’s Manual, the Reference Manual, the Synthesizer Parameter Manual, and the Data List.
Functional Blocks
The MODX7 system consists of eight main functional blocks: Tone Generator, AD Input, Sequencer, Motion Sequencer, Arpeggio, Controller, Effect, and Envelope Follower.
Tone Generator Block
The Tone Generator block produces sound in response to MIDI messages and can handle up to 16 independent channels.
Performances and Parts
A Performance is a single set of sounds consisting of multiple Parts. There are three Part types: Normal Parts (AWM2), Normal Parts (FM-X), and Drum Parts.
Normal Parts (AWM2) and Normal Parts (FM-X)
These Parts are played conventionally from the keyboard and can consist of up to eight Elements or Operators.
Drum Parts
Drum Parts are mainly percussion/drum sounds assigned to individual notes on the keyboard.
