Introduction

The WX7 Wind MIDI Controller is a MIDI musical instrument that combines Yamaha’s state-of-the-art technology with traditional craftsmanship. It uses the standard Boehm fingering and can be played in two octaves, with an Octave Transpose key to extend the total range to over four octaves.

The WX7 allows pitch bending by lip pressure and a conveniently located Pitch Bend Wheel. It also allows control of volume, vibrato, and tone of the connected MIDI sound source by the way you blow (breath pressure).

Key Hold and Dual Play Capabilities

The WX7 has Key Hold and Dual Play capabilities, allowing you to hold selected notes while playing other notes. The Dual Play feature sends the lead line and held note on independent MIDI channels, giving your playing an unprecedented fullness.

The WX7 is easy to operate, even for the saxophone player with limited experience of electronic music.
