Before operating the generator for the first time, please read this manual carefully. It is essential to familiarize yourself with the controls and features of your generator to prevent accidents and ensure proper operation.
Important Safety Information
The generator produces carbon monoxide, which can be deadly in enclosed areas. Never run the generator in a closed, or even partly closed area where people may be present.
Generator Safety
Keep the generator at least 3 feet away from buildings and other equipment during operation. Do not enclose the generator in any structure, and keep flammable materials away from the generator.
Operating the Generator
Before using the generator for the first time, add engine oil and break in the engine according to the instructions on page 11. Always operate the generator on a level surface, and make sure it is properly ventilated.
Starting and Stopping the Engine
Start the engine by pulling the starter grip, and stop the engine by turning the engine switch to the “off” position.
Using the Controls
Familiarize yourself with the controls and their functions to ensure safe and proper operation of the generator. Refer to page 7 for more information on the fuel gauge, muffler, and other controls.
