Overview
This manual provides detailed information on the internal design and operation of the YAMAHA MX49, MX61, and MX88 synthesizers.
Basic Structure
The synthesizers consist of five main functional blocks: Controller, Tone Generator, Effect, Arpeggio, and Song/Pattern Playing.
The Controller Block generates and transmits playing information to the Tone Generator Block.
The Tone Generator Block produces sound using the AWM2 (Advanced Wave Memory 2) synthesis system.
Using a Connected Computer
The synthesizers can be connected to a computer for creating songs, recording performances, and using DAW software.
The manual explains how to use the Remote mode to operate DAW software or VSTi from the panel controls.
