Introduction

The MOXFG/MOXF8 is a music production synthesizer that comes with four reference guides: the Owner’s Manual, the Reference Manual, the Synthesizer Parameter Manual, and the Data List.

This Reference Manual describes the internal design of the MOXFG/MOXF8 and the various parameters that can be adjusted and set.

Basic Structure

The MOXFG/MOXF8 system consists of six main functional blocks: Tone Generator, AID Input, Sequencer, Arpeggio, Controller, and Effect.

The Tone Generator block is equipped with a AWM2 tone generator, which is a synthesis system based on sampled waves.

A Voice is a program that contains the sonic elements for generating specific musical instrument sounds.

There are two Voice types: Normal Voices and Drum Voices. Normal Voices are mainly pitched musical instrument type sounds, while Drum Voices are mainly percussion/drum sounds.
