Tractor Safety Guidelines
Harvest season safety guidelines to protect equipment and operators from injuries.
Important Safety Tips
Be familiar with the terrain and work area, use caution on slopes, and keep bystanders and animals clear of the area.
Never start an engine inside an enclosed building, and always keep the PTO shielded.
Keep hitches low and on the drawbar, and never get off a moving tractor or leave it with the engine running.
Rollover Protective Structures (ROPS)
ROPS are standard equipment on all tractors since 1985 and are 99.9% effective in preventing death and serious injury when used with seatbelts.
The “Ten Commandments of Safety” by Kubota Corp provide guidelines for safe tractor operation.
