Important Safety Information
Read the instruction manual carefully before using the chain saw. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
General Safety Precautions
Keep the work area clean and well-lit, and avoid operating power tools in explosive atmospheres. Keep children and bystanders away while operating the tool, and avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces.
Chain Saw Safety
Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective equipment for head, hands, legs, and feet. Hold the chain saw with your right hand on the rear handle and your left hand on the front handle, and keep all parts of the body away from the saw chain when operating.
Follow instructions for lubricating, chain tensioning, and changing accessories. Improperly tensioned or lubricated chain may break or increase the chance for kickback.
Do not operate the chain saw in a tree, and always keep proper footing and operate the saw only when standing on a fixed, secure, and level surface.
