Safety Symbols
The manual defines three safety symbols: DANGER, WARNING, and CAUTION, which indicate the level of severity for each signal word.
General Power Tool Safety Warnings
Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications provided with the power tool. Failure to follow all instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
Work area safety includes keeping the area clean and well-lit, avoiding exposure to rain or wet conditions, and keeping children and bystanders away while operating the power tool.
Electrical safety includes using an extension cord suitable for outdoor use, avoiding body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, and ensuring power tool plugs match the outlet.
Personal safety includes staying alert, wearing personal protective equipment, and maintaining power tools and accessories.
Battery Tool Use and Care
Recharge only with the specified charger, and do not expose the battery pack or tool to fire or excessive temperature.
Follow all charging instructions, and do not charge the battery pack or tool outside the specified temperature range.
Safety Rules for Cordless Impact Drivers
Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, wear safety goggles or eye protection, and use thick cushioned gloves.
Brace the tool properly before use, and secure the material being fastened to a stable platform.
Be prepared for reaction torque when fastening or removing a fastener, and pay attention during the seating process.
