Cleaning and Disinfecting Instructions
The Braun ThermoScan PRO 4000 Ear Thermometer requires specific cleaning and disinfecting procedures to ensure proper function.
For the speculum tip, use 70% or stronger isopropyl alcohol and a Q-tip or equivalent. For the window, use a cotton swab slightly moistened with alcohol and immediately wipe dry with a clean cotton swab.
For remaining surfaces, use a soft cloth slightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol, 10% chlorine bleach, or standard hospital disinfectants.
Electrical Contact Cleaning
Clean the electrical contacts of the thermometer, rechargeable battery, and charging dock every 3 months or when charging or communication performance becomes erratic.
Use a cotton swab slightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol to clean the contacts.
Cleaning the contacts regularly ensures the device performs as expected.
