The Accu-Chek Guide Me Blood Glucose Monitoring System is a single-patient use device intended for in vitro diagnostic use by people with diabetes. It is not intended for diagnosis or screening of diabetes mellitus, nor for neonatal use.

Choking hazard: Keep away from children under the age of 3 years. Keep new and used batteries away from children.

Important Safety Precautions:

  • Do not use the meter at high hematocrit levels above 65% or low hematocrit levels below 10%.
  • Do not use the meter system to measure blood glucose in people who are experiencing cardiovascular collapse, severe shock, decreased peripheral blood flow, or critically ill patients.
  • Clean and disinfect the meter and lancing device regularly to prevent the risk of infection from bloodborne pathogens.
  • Do not share the meter and lancing device with anyone, including family members.
  • Keep the meter and lancing device away from children.

Before You Start Testing

Read and follow the instructions in the User’s Manual and package inserts for the test strips and control solutions to avoid incorrect test results that may lead to improper therapy.

Inspect the test strip container before using the test strips for the first time, and perform a control test to ensure the meter and test strips are working properly.
