About the Device

The Lumis 150 VPAP ST-A is a bilevel positive airway pressure device indicated for non-invasive ventilation for patients with respiratory insufficiency or obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).

It is intended for home and hospital use, and the humidifier is intended for single patient use in the home environment and re-use in a hospital/institutional environment.

Clinical Benefits

The clinical benefits of CPAP and bilevel PAP therapy include a reduction in apnoeas, hypopnoeas, and sleepiness, as well as improved quality of life.

Intended Patient Population/Medical Conditions

The device is intended for patients with obstructive pulmonary diseases, restrictive pulmonary diseases, central respiratory regulation diseases, obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), and obesity hypoventilation syndrome (OHS).

Contraindications

Positive airway pressure therapy may be contraindicated in patients with severe bullous lung disease, pneumothorax or pneumomediastinum, pathologically low blood pressure, cerebrospinal fluid leak, recent cranial surgery, or trauma.

Adverse Effects

Report unusual chest pain, severe headache, or increased breathlessness to your prescribing physician. An acute upper respiratory tract infection may require temporary discontinuation of treatment.

Setup

Follow the setup instructions carefully, including plugging in the power connector, connecting the air tubing, and filling the humidifier with water up to the maximum water level mark.
