This manual provides guidelines for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing the biopsy adaptor, water bag, coupler, and magnetic sensor securing adaptor used with Canon Medical Systems diagnostic ultrasound systems.
Important Safety Precautions:
- Observe precautions to ensure the safety of patients and operators during cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization.
- Warn patients about the risk of infection if the biopsy adaptor is not properly sterilized.
- Clean and sterilize the biopsy adaptor before and after each biopsy procedure.
- Take precautions during cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization, including wearing protective gloves and rinsing with purified or sterile water.
Additional Precautions:
Thoroughly dry the surfaces of the biopsy adaptor, water bag, coupler, and magnetic sensor securing adaptor after cleaning or disinfection.
Perform aeration to degas the biopsy adaptor, water bag, and coupler after gas sterilization.
Consult the manufacturers for information on the activity of cleaning solutions, disinfectants, and sterilizing gases.
