Product Overview

The iHealth PO2 Pulse Oximeter is designed to measure blood oxygen saturation levels and pulse rate through a fingertip sensor, displaying the results on an LCD screen. It’s intended for both adult and pediatric patients in a variety of settings, including home and clinical environments.

Intended Use

This non-invasive medical device serves as a spot-check tool and is not meant for continuous monitoring except in prescribed conditions. It is appropriate for individuals weighing between 4 to 50 kg and is not recommended for use on neonatal patients.

Safety Precautions

Users are warned against using the pulse oximeter in the presence of flammable gases, MRI, or CT environments; and individuals with rubber allergies should avoid contact with the device. The device is also sensitive to external factors such as dust, vibration, corrosive chemicals, explosive materials, extreme temperatures, and moisture.

Operating Instructions

The oximeter features a quick response time and automatically adjusts the display orientation. It encompasses a bar-display for pulse intensity and a waveform for the pulse rate. In case of abnormal readings, users are advised to discontinue use and seek clinical assessment.

Environmental and Operational Conditions

It should be operated within temperatures of 10°C to 40°C, with a relative humidity below 95%, and an atmospheric pressure between 700 hPa to 1060 hPa. For storage, the device requires conditions between -60°C to 60°C, below 95% humidity.

Measurement Principle

The device operates on the principle of photoplethysmography, where two wavelengths of light are focused on the finger and readings are obtained through changes in light absorption of oxygenated versus deoxygenated blood.

Maintenance

The user manual emphasizes regular check-up of the device for damages and strict adherence to maintenance protocols. Battery replacement is necessary when low power is indicated, and hygiene practices such as cleaning are outlined.

Device Specifications and Features

The PO2 Pulse Oximeter is lightweight, consumes low power, and can operate for 20 continuous hours. It provides alerts for low voltage but does not have an alarm function.

Accessories and Disposal

Supplied with accessories including a hanging rope, batteries, and user manual. Users are advised to dispose of the device and its components per local regulations.

Manufacturer and Warranty

Produced by ANDON HEALTH CO., LTD., the iHealth PO2 Pulse Oximeter comes with a one-year warranty according to European legislation. Contact information for support is provided.
