Introduction
The VPAP III ST-A ventilator has two menus: patient menu and clinical menu.
To enter the clinical menu, hold down the red selection key and the black down arrow key until “CLINICAL MENU WELCOME” appears on the screen.
Ventilation Modes
There are four ventilation modes: CPAP, Timed, Spontaneous-Timed, and Spontaneous.
Controls and Additional Features
The Clinical Menu contains settings, results, alarms, options, and servicing.
The user can select the required mode and parameters, and adjust additional features such as IPAP, EPAP, rise time, and trigger sensitivity.
Alarms
The VPAP III has five alarms, including mask alarm, low pressure, high pressure, low minute volume, and non-vented mask alarm.
Basic Set-up Procedure
Switch on the VPAP, enter the Clinical mode, set the appropriate settings, attach the mask, and press the Start/Stop key to begin ventilation.
