Important Safety Notice
This notice informs users of two issues with Philips EPIQ & Affiniti Ultrasound Systems:
Issue #1: Potential Lock-up in X-plane
A software issue can cause the system to become unresponsive (lock-up) during clinical use, potentially leading to prolonged cardiac bypass time and associated complications.
Issue #2: Pulse Wave Doppler Signal Dual Mode
A software issue can compromise the Pulse Wave Doppler signal, potentially leading to misdiagnosis, wrong treatment, and unnecessary therapy.
Philips provides instructions to mitigate these issues and plans to provide a software update to permanently resolve them.
