Introduction
Persona Personalized Alignment Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) is a kinematically aligned (KA) approach that strives to restore the native alignment of the knee and limb by performing measured bone resections and minimizing release of the posterior cruciate, collateral, and retinacular ligaments.
Principles
Personalized Alignment is based on three principles: restoration of a patient’s native HKA alignment, restoration of a patient’s native distal femoral and proximal tibial joint line, and restoration of a patient’s natural soft-tissue laxity.
Indications
The device is indicated for patients with severe knee pain and disability due to various conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and traumatic arthritis.
Contraindications
The device is contraindicated for patients with previous history of infection, insufficient bone stock, skeletal immaturity, and other conditions.
