Introduction

The Heartstart Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are designed to be small, low-cost, rugged, reliable, safe, easy-to-use, and maintenance-free. The device was first introduced by Heartstream in 1996 and has since undergone changes in ownership and branding.

The manual provides technical and product information that generally applies to the following AEDs: ForeRunner, FR, FR2, FR2+, Heartstart Home, Heartstart OnSite, and Laerdal Heartstart FR2.
