Safety Precautions
This manual provides guidelines for cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of ultrasound transducers.
Signal Words: DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION, and NOTICE are used to indicate hazardous situations and important instructions.
Precautions
Observe precautions to ensure safety of patients and operators, including:
- Never immerse non-waterproof sections into liquids.
- Wear protective gloves during cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization.
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize transducers as required.
- Rinse transducers thoroughly after cleaning and disinfection.
- Dry transducer surfaces after chemical cleaning or disinfection.
- Degas transducers after sterilization.
Refer to section 3 for immersible range of each transducer model and detailed conditions for cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization.
