Clinical Experience with FDR nano

The FDR nano is a point-of-care X-ray system used at Nuffield Health Newcastle upon Tyne Hospital in the UK.

According to Radiology Manager Amanda Cumersdale, the FDR nano has brought a new efficient workflow to the hospital, with its small size and agility making it easy to operate and maneuver.

The FDR nano is used for mobile X-ray imaging on the hospital’s 27 beds and 3 operating theatres, and also as a secondary X-ray room for out-patients.

Key Features

The FDR nano features Fujifilm’s patented imaging technologies, including Virtual Grid and Dynamic Visualization II (DYN II), which enable high-quality imaging at lower doses.

The system is ultra-lightweight, weighing just 90kg, and features multi-directional castors for easy movement.

The FDR nano has been used for a range of examinations, including hip-joint, spine, shoulder, and knee, with good results even for larger patients.
