Getting Started

This manual provides an overview of the Dexcom G7 CGM System, including setting expectations, setting up the Dexcom G7 app, inserting the sensor, and using Dexcom G7 alerts and app features.

Value of Dexcom G7

The Dexcom G7 provides real-time glucose readings every 5 minutes, helping to identify trends and patterns, and enabling informed treatment decisions without the need for fingersticks.

Important: If glucose alerts and readings do not match symptoms or expectations, use a blood glucose meter to make treatment decisions.

Setting Expectations

The Dexcom G7 measures glucose levels in interstitial fluid, which may differ from blood glucose levels. Readings can vary and still be considered accurate.

The Dexcom G7 app displays glucose information and is compatible with a range of devices (see dexcom.com/compatibility for details).

The sensor is inserted using an applicator and worn for 10 days, sending glucose information to the Dexcom G7 app.
