Overview
The CoaguChek Vantus meter is a precision instrument for testing INR (International Normalized Ratio) levels. This guide provides an overview of the initial setup and testing process.
Initial Setup
Insert batteries, code chip, and set language and time/date formats using the up/down arrows and Enter buttons.
Performing a Test
Prepare the lancing device, wash and dry hands, and power on the meter. Insert a test strip, apply a blood drop, and wait for the test result.
Important: Apply the blood drop within 15 seconds of lancing the fingertip to ensure accurate results.
Test Strip Handling
Remove the test strip from its container, insert it into the test strip guide, and apply blood within 180 seconds.
Icons on the Display
The meter displays various icons, including battery capacity, appointment, quality check, Bluetooth, USB, test, comment, upload, and result icons.
