Introduction

k-t SPEEDER is a reference-free parallel imaging method that exploits spatial-temporal correlation to accelerate dynamic MRI scans.

Technical Description

k-t SPEEDER uses an under-sampling pattern that spreads aliasing artifacts in both space and time, allowing better utilization of both spatial and temporal redundancies.

The method estimates coil sensitivity maps in the x-f space to un-wrap aliasing artifacts, avoiding the need for reference data.

Benefits

k-t SPEEDER provides higher effective scan time acceleration, improves patient comfort and throughput, and is less susceptible to motion artifacts.

It can be used to shorten breath-hold duration, improve spatial and temporal resolution, and increase patient comfort and throughput.
