Introduction
The Braun ThermoScan PRO 6000 Ear thermometer is a clinical grade ear thermometer designed for intermittent measurement of human body temperature in patients of all ages in a professional use environment.
Technical Specifications
The thermometer has a displayed temperature range of 20-42.2°C (68-108°F) and an operating ambient temperature range of 10-40°C (50-104°F). It has a display resolution of 0.1°C or 0.2°F and an accuracy of ±0.2°C (±0.4°F) with probe cover and ±0.1°C (±0.2°F) without probe cover.
Service and Calibration
The thermometer requires regular calibration checks to ensure accuracy. The Welch Allyn 9600 Plus Calibration Tester is used to perform this check. The service tool software is available through an internet link on the Braun Thermoscan PRO 6000 Ear thermometer CD or from the Welch Allyn website.
