Product Description
The Braun ThermoScan Ear Thermometer has been carefully developed for accurate, safe, and fast temperature measurements in the ear. It is intended for intermittent measurement and monitoring of human body temperature for people of all ages, and is intended for household use only.
Proper technique is critical to obtaining accurate temperatures, and the thermometer is not intended as a substitute for consultation with a physician.
Warnings and Precautions
Consult a doctor if symptoms such as unexplained irritability, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, changes in appetite or activity, seizure, muscle pain, shivering, stiff neck, or pain when urinating occur, despite the absence of fever. Also, consult a doctor if the thermometer shows an elevated temperature.
How to Use Your Braun ThermoScan
Remove the thermometer from the protective case, remove the protective cap, and attach a new, clean lens filter before each measurement. Push the Power button, and then the Start button to take a temperature reading.
Important Information
Always use the thermometer with a new, clean lens filter attached, and keep lens filters out of reach of children. The thermometer is not intended for pre-term babies or small-for-gestational age babies, and is not intended to interpret hypothermic temperatures.
