The BD Veritor System is a chromatographic digital immunoassay for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein antigen in direct anterior nasal swab specimens.

The system is intended for use by healthcare professionals or operators who are proficient in performing tests in point-of-care settings. It is authorized for use under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) in the United States.
Principles of the Procedure
The system consists of a dedicated opto-electronic interpretation instrument and immunochromatographic assays for the qualitative detection of antigens from pathogenic organisms in respiratory specimens.

The kit includes 30 single-use test devices, extraction reagent, specimen sampling swabs, SARS-CoV-2 control swab, and other materials.
Warnings and Precautions
Read all instructions carefully before performing the test. Failure to follow the instructions may result in inaccurate test results. The test is not intended to be visually determined, and all test results must be determined using the BD Veritor Plus Analyzer.
