Cleaning and Maintenance

The Astral device requires regular cleaning and maintenance to prevent infection risks. Always turn off and unplug the device before cleaning, and ensure it is dry before plugging back in.

Use an anti-bacterial solution on a clean, non-dyed disposable cloth to clean the device. Compatible cleaning solutions include Actichlor Plus Bleach, Isopropanol, Cavicide, and Mikrozid.

Single Patient Use

Weekly, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth using a mild cleaning solution. Inspect the circuit adapter for moisture or contaminants and replace as necessary.

Monthly, inspect the air filter and replace every six months or more often in dusty environments. Check the internal battery charge level by operating the device on internal battery for at least 10 minutes.

Multi-Patient Use

An antibacterial filter on the inspiratory port is mandatory to prevent cross-contamination. Additional cleaning and maintenance instructions are provided for multi-patient use.

Replace components such as the air filter, expiratory flow sensor, and antibacterial filter regularly. Follow specific instructions for each component to ensure proper replacement and calibration.
