Overview
The FreeStyle Precision Pro Blood Glucose monitoring system is intended for in vitro diagnostic use for the quantitative measurement of glucose in fresh capillary whole blood samples.

Limitations
The system is not designed for use with serum or plasma samples, and has specific requirements for sample volume, temperature, and haematocrit range.
Test results may be affected by certain medical conditions, such as severe dehydration or hypotension, and certain substances, such as high-dose ascorbic acid.
Procedure
The system uses bioamperometry to measure glucose levels, and requires specific specimen requirements, patient preparation, and environmental and safety controls.
