Description
The ZA Series consists of radial leaded varistors, commonly referred to as metal oxide varistors (MOVs), which are designed to protect low and medium-voltage circuits and systems from transient voltage surges. Typical applications for these varistors include motor control, telecom, automotive systems, solenoid, and power supply circuits. Their primary role is to safeguard circuit board components and ensure the integrity of data within these systems.
Product Range and Features
The ZA Series is diverse, with varistors available in five sizes: 5mm, 7mm, 10mm, 14mm, and 20mm. These varistors cover a wide voltage range, designated as VAC voltage from 4V to 460V and VDC voltage from 5.5V to 615V. The devices do not require derating for ambient temperatures up to 85°C.
The varistors come in two packaging options: tape and reel or bulk pack, with several lead form options available to suit various design requirements. Moreover, they comply with environmental and safety standards, being lead-free and RoHS compliant, as indicated by agency approval marks.
