The X9408 is a quad digitally controlled potentiometer (XDCP) integrated circuit that features four potentiometers in one package, each with 64 resistor taps and a 2-wire serial interface.
Each potentiometer has a volatile Wiper Counter Register (WCR) and four non-volatile Data Registers that can be directly written to and read by the user.

The X9408 operates from 2.7V to 5.5V, has a standby current of less than 1μA, and is available in 24-lead SOIC, TSSOP, and XBGA packages.
The device has high reliability, with an endurance of 100,000 data changes per bit per register and a register data retention of 100 years.
