vitreous-enamelled-wirewound-resistors-w2o-series.pdf

The W2O Series of vitreous enamelled wirewound resistors are designed for harsh environments and offer high stability and reliability.

They feature an impervious lead-free vitreous enamel coating, overload characteristics ideal for protection circuits, and high power dissipation for their size.

Electrical Characteristics

The resistors have a power rating of up to 14 watts at 25°C, with a resistance range of 3.0 ohms to 22 megohms, and are available with 1%, 2%, and 5% tolerances.

The temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) is typically ±75 ppm/°C, with a maximum of ±200 ppm/°C.

Physical Characteristics

The resistors have a high purity ceramic substrate with interference fit end caps and are coated with a vitreous enamel protective layer.

They are available in various sizes, with dimensions ranging from 12.7 mm to 53.5 mm in length, and weights from 0.8 g to 22 g.

The terminations are made of copper-clad steel wire, nickel plated and solder-coated, and meet the requirements of IEC 68.2.21 for strength and IEC 115-1, Clause 4.17.3.2 for solderability.
