The VICOR Mini Family 300V Input DC-DC converter module integrates advanced power processing, control, and packaging technologies to deliver performance, flexibility, reliability, and cost-efficiency. With an actual size of 2.28 x 2.2 x 0.5 inches (57.9 x 55.9 x 12.7mm), this module is suitable for various applications, including off-line systems with auto-ranging or PFC front ends, industrial and process control, distributed power systems, medical, ATE, communications, defense, and aerospace.

The module has a wide DC input range of 180 to 375V and can withstand input surges of up to 400V for 100ms. The DC output voltage spans 2 to 48V and is programmable from 10 to 110% of its nominal value. Thanks to High-frequency Zero-Current Switching / Zero-Voltage Switching (ZCS/ZVS) technology, the modules operate quietly while maintaining high power density. Additional features include parallel operation with N+M fault tolerance, low noise levels, high efficiency, and a maximum operating temperature of 100°C under full load conditions.

Absolute Maximum Ratings

Key ratings include a -0.5 to +410VDC input voltage threshold, isolation voltages of 3000Vrms from IN to OUT, and various voltage thresholds for other connections. The modules can operate within an ambient temperature range of -55°C to +100°C, and have a storage temperature range of -65°C to +125°C. When soldering, wave soldering can reach 260°C for 5 seconds, with hand soldering permitted up to 390°C for 10 seconds. The recommended mounting torque is 5 in-lbs (0.57 N-m) for each pin.
