Overview
The U2043B is an integrated circuit designed for relay-controlled automotive flashers, providing a high EMC level and indicating lamp outage by frequency doubling during hazard and direction modes.
Key Features
High current carrying capacity and low saturation voltage relay output, low susceptibility to EMI, and a minimum lamp load of 10W for flasher operation.
The pilot lamp can be connected to either VBatt or GND, and the device has a built-in protection circuit against battery reversal and current pulses.
The oscillator frequency can be adjusted using external R,C components, and the device has a lamp outage detection feature with a programmable detection threshold.
