KEMET’s YSV dielectric features an 85°C maximum operating temperature with respect to time and voltage, displaying wide temperature stability and a predictable change in capacitance with reference to ambient temperature. The dielectric is considered “general-purpose” and is characterized as a Class III material, suitable for bypass and decoupling applications that do not require high insulation resistance and capacitance stability.
Benefits
The YSV dielectric offers a 330°C to +85°C operating temperature range, is Pb-Free and RoHS compliant, and features a capacitance change of +22%, -82% from -30°C to +850°C. The device is non-polar, with a pure matte tin-plated termination finish that enables excellent solderability. Capacitance offerings range from 0.022uF to 22uF, with availability of .0402, .0603, .0805, .1206, and .1210 case sizes.
Applications
The typical applications of the YSV dielectric include limited temperature, decoupling, and bypass.
