Overview
KEMET’s Tantalum Hermetically Sealed Axial MIL-PRF-39003 T110 Series, along with the parallel T212 CSR13 series, are capacitors designed for use in high-humidity environments and miniaturized circuit applications. These capacitors are suited for coupling, bypass, filtering, and R-C timing circuits, offering excellent stability, low DC leakage current, and low dissipation factors.
Features
Noteworthy features of the T110 Series include their robust construction, performance stability, and the ability to work across a wide temperature and frequency range with low equivalent series resistance (ESR). The T110 series is RoHS Compliant as of September 30, 2005, and provides capacitance values ranging from .0047 to 330 μF and voltage ratings from 6-125 VDC. The series also has options for varying capacitance tolerances of ±20%, ±10%, and ±5%.
Capacitor Specifications
Capacitors of the T110 and T212 series come in various case sizes, and MIL-PRF-39003 capacitors that KEMET manufactures offer graded failure rate levels from 0.1% to 0.001% per 1,000 hours. The datasheet also includes capacitance and size reference charts, outline drawings, and a breakdown of the ordering information for specifying lead material, capacitance tolerance, and failure rate.
Ordering and Marking Information
When ordering, customers can specify the T110 series along with the desired case size, lead material, picofarad code, capacitance tolerance, and failure rate. An example of a complete part number is provided for reference. Marking for T110 Series capacitors includes polarity, the manufacturer’s identification, capacitance tolerance, nominal capacitance, voltage rating, and a date code. Military ordering and marking details are summarized and referenced to additional pages.
Detailed Ratings and Part Number Reference
The datasheet lists detailed ratings for the T110 series capacitors, including maximum ratings at different temperatures and voltages, as well as equivalent KEMET and military part numbers. It outlines the dissipation factor at 120 Hz and provides a comprehensive guide to selecting the correct part across the 6-volt to 10-volt ratings for specific applications.
Additional Information and Ratings
To facilitate proper selection, additional reference is given to the case size, capacitance tolerance, and a number of standard capacitance values. Boldface lines indicate popular part types and values to guide procurement decisions. Finally, customers are directed to page 6 for further details on completing a part number and to page 4 for military ordering specifics.
