Overview

The Surface Mount Multilayer Ceramic Chip Capacitors (SMD MLCCs) with XZR Dielectric, produced by KEMET Electronics Corporation, are designed for commercial applications, supporting a maximum operating temperature of 125°C. These capacitors are categorized as Class II materials by the Electronics Components, Assemblies, and Materials Association (EIA), making them suitable for bypass and decoupling applications or frequency discriminating circuits where high Q and stability are not essential.

The XZR dielectric capacitors are characterized by minimal changes in capacitance with respect to ambient temperature, staying within a +15% change range from -55°C to +125°C. The change in capacitance relative to time and voltage is also predictable and stable.
