Overview

KEMET’s XZR dielectric capacitors are engineered to operate at a maximum temperature of 125°C and classified by the Electronics Components, Assemblies and Materials Association (EIA) as Class II material, fitting for bypass and decoupling applications, and other uses where precision in capacitance characteristics is not the primary concern. These capacitors demonstrate a reliable change in capacitance with time and voltage, featuring a relatively stable capacitance across the ambient temperature range, with a variation limited to +15% between -55°C to +125°C.

These SMD MLCCs offer various advantages which include an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, compliance with RoHS, REACH, and are Lead (Pb)-free. They are crafted using a temperature stable dielectric and come in multiple case sizes: EIA 0402 through 2225. The capacitors bear DC voltage ratings from 6.3 V to 250 V, showcasing a wide array of capacitance values from 10 pF to 47 µF. Furthermore, they offer capacitance tolerances of +5%, +10%, and +20%, and are non-polar devices which minimizes installation errors. The standard termination finish is 100% pure matte tin-plated, ensuring excellent soldering capability, with an optional SnPb termination finish also available upon request.
