Overview
KEMET’s COG dielectric features a 125°C maximum operating temperature and is considered “stable”. It is characterized by the Electronics Components, Assemblies & Materials Association (EIA) as a Class 1 material, making it suitable for resonant circuit applications or those where stability of capacitance characteristics are required.
Benefits
The COG dielectric exhibits no change in capacitance with respect to time and voltage, and boasts a negligible change in capacitance with reference to ambient temperature. It also features a high thermal stability, high ripple current capability, and is a preferred capacitance solution at line frequencies and into the MHz range.
