Materials and Finishes

The SMA straight plug features a body coupling nut made of stainless steel (ASTM A582, Alloy 303, Condition “A”), a virgin white Teflon insulator (ASTM D1710, Grade Type Class “B”), and a contact retaining ring made of beryllium copper (ASTM B196, Alloy C17300, Temper TD04).

The crimp sleeve is constructed from seamless low-lead brass tube (Alloy 330, soft anneal temper, .025/.060 grain size) or seamless copper tube (ASTM B75, Type C12000, Light Anneal 050, except yield strength).

The gasket is made of silicone rubber (ZZ-R-765, Class 2B, Grade 65-75), and the shrink sleeve is ThermoFit SCL (not shown).

Finishes

Contacts are gold plated (MIL-G-45204, Type III, Class I, Grade C, over 0.00010 to 0.00020), stress-free sulfamate nickel plated (QQ-N-290), and crimp sleeves are nickel plated (QQ-N-290, Class II, Grade G, except 0.0001 to 0.0002 thick).

All other metal parts are passivated (QQ-P-35, Type VI).
