Overview

The Series 420/422 magnetic-latching relays are designed for high-density PC board mounting, featuring small size, low coil power dissipation, and high reliability. They are suitable for applications where power dissipation must be minimized and can be operated with a short duration pulse.

Key Features

These TO-5 relays have low intercontact capacitance and contact circuit losses, making them excellent ultraminiature RF switches for frequency ranges up to the UHF spectrum. They also feature a “memory” capability, as they will not reset upon removal of coil power.

Environmental and Physical Specifications

The relays operate in a temperature range of -65°C to +125°C and can withstand vibration up to 30 g’s and shock up to 100 g’s. They have a hermetically sealed enclosure with a maximum weight of 0.10 oz (2.84g).

Electrical Specifications

The relays have a contact arrangement of 2 Form C (DPDT) and can handle resistive loads up to 0.5A/28Vdc. They have a typical operate time of 1.5 msec and a minimum operate pulse width of 4.5 msec.
