Overview
The Series 420/422 relays are magnetic-latching, TO-5 relays designed for high-density PC board mounting. They are known for their small size, low coil power dissipation, and high reliability, making them versatile ultraminiature relays.
Key Features
These relays utilize discrete diodes for coil suppression and polarity reversal protection. They have a low intercontact capacitance and contact circuit losses, making them suitable for RF applications up to the UHF spectrum.
The relays are designed for low-level switching from dry circuit to ampere and are ideal for applications where power dissipation must be minimized. They can be operated with a short duration pulse and have a “memory” capability, remaining in their last state after power removal.
Environmental and Physical Specifications
The relays operate in a temperature range of -65°C to +125°C and can withstand vibration up to 30 g’s and shock up to 100 g’s. They have a hermetically sealed enclosure and a maximum weight of 0.10 oz (2.84g).
