This product is a stranded loose tube, non-armored, gel-filled outdoor cable with a dielectric strength member. It has a MDPE outer jacket, aramid strength elements, binder, water swellable tape, ripcord, and 16 fibers per subunit.
The cable has a buffer tube/subunit diameter of 3.00 mm (0.12 in), a cable weight of 56.0 lb/kt (99.0 kg/km), and a diameter over jacket of 11.80 mm (0.46 in).
The cable has minimum bend radii of 17.7 cm (7.0 in) when loaded and 11.8 cm (4.6 in) when unloaded. It can withstand a maximum tensile load of 3447 N (775 lbf) in the long term and 4270 N (960 lbf) in the short term.
The cable can be installed in aerial, self-support applications with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C (-40°F to +158°F). It can be stored at temperatures between -40°C and +75°C (-40°F and +167°F).
The cable has undergone various mechanical and environmental tests, including compression, flex, impact, strain, twist, water penetration, cable freeze, drip, heat age, low high bend, and temperature cycle tests.
