Microprocessor Crystals Overview
Raltron’s RHLTrO series microprocessor crystals offer excellent clock signal generator capabilities for CPUs with a wide frequency range of 100.00 KHz to 300.00 MHz. The crystals come in industry-standard packages, including HC-49/U, HC-51/U, and UM-1 formats.

Frequency Stability over Temperature: ±50 PPM typical, ±100 PPM maximum
Operating Temperature Range: -40°C to +85°C standard, -55°C to +125°C extended
Storage Temperature Range: -55°C to +125°C
Aging: ±5 PPM per year maximum
Load Capacitance: 10 to 32 pF for series or parallel application
Shunt Capacitance: 7 pF maximum
Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR): Refer to page 3 for specifications
Drive Level: ±5 PPM maximum
Shock Resistance: 3-axis, 75 cm drop test or 1000 gs x 0.5 ms sine wave
Package Options
The crystals come in various package options, including tape and reel, three-pin base, third lead, spacer, and plastic sleeve. The transparent plastic sleeving option is available as well.
ESR Characteristics and Tape and Reel Dimensions
ESR characteristics are provided in a table on page 3, featuring the equivalent series resistance versus frequency and package for different holder types. Tape and reel dimensions are also provided for HC-49/U only, featuring a 370 mm reel diameter, 18 mm tape width, 12.7 mm pitch, and quantity of 1000 pieces per reel.
