The OCS plug is a shielded plug designed for network cabling systems, independent of systems support or manufacturer. It uses a familiar connection method as with 8-pole RJ45 plugs and provides a plug-in connection between installation cable and OCS modules.
The plug is designed for high-speed LANs with transmission rates up to 2100 Mbps and is suitable for various applications, including 10 Base T, Token Ring, ISDN, and Telephone analogue transmission. It has a good screening effect and consistent quality of installation, with a maximum untwisting of pairs of 13 mm.
Key Features
The OCS plug has a colour coding according to EIA/TIA 568 A and connection of wires as linear pairwise is made easily. It can be connected to almost all common installation cables (even AWG 23) and comes with a black cable bend protection.
Technical Specifications
The plug has an insertion force of <30 N, durability of 2750 mating cycles, and material specifications of CuSn for the contact spring, Ni1.2AUO.8 for the contact finish, and zinc diecast for the housing.
