Summary
The datasheet describes the Modular AnschluBdosen (Modular Outlets) series, which includes the MJ4S (Cat. 5) and MJ (Cat. 5) series, as well as the WE (Cat. 3) series.
The MJ4S and MJ series offer Cat. 5 performance with characteristics such as IDC terminals, color-coded according to EIA/TIA 568A and 568B, and RJ45 jacks with a 45-degree tilt. They are available in screened, double-screened, and unscreened variants for surface, flush, and data channel mounting.
The WE series, on the other hand, offers Cat. 3 performance with transmission characteristics according to ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173. These outlets are available in surface, flush, and data channel-mounting versions with one or two RJ45 jacks, and can be distinguished by their cable termination method, either using screw terminals or IDC technology.
Both series are suitable for data transmission applications, with the WE series particularly suited for 10 Base T systems.
