Overview of Minimodul™ Connectors 2.5 MSF
This datasheet provides detailed information about the Minimodul™ pin headers with a pitch of 2.5 mm. These connectors are designed for upright placement and feature a locking latch with solder contacts in a single row format. The product is currently active and holds relevant approvals for industry standards.
Environmental Parameters
The connectors operate within a temperature range of -40°C to +120°C, and the upper limit temperature for the insulating body is indicated. They are suitable for environmental conditions as specified by the RII (electrical) of the UL Yellow Card.
Materials and Construction
The insulating body of the connectors is made from PA GF, which is V-0 rated according to UL94, indicating a high level of flammability resistance. The contact pins are constructed from CuZn (Copper-Zinc Alloy), pre-nickel, and tin-plated. Moreover, the component is glow wire resistant (GWT 750°C) and complies with IEC 60695-2-11, with an assessment according to IEC 60335-1 concerning flame resistance.
Electrical Specifications
The connectors are rated for a current of 5 A (at 60°C) and a voltage of 160 V AC. They belong to the material group Illa (according to IEC) and group 2 (as per UL) with a Comparative Tracking Index (CTI) greater than or equal to 250. The datasheet specifies a creepage and clearance distance of 1.9 mm each, with an insulation resistance exceeding 1 GΩ.
Associated Products and Counterparts
There are specific recommendations for associated products such as the bore hole in the printed circuit board, which should measure approximately ∅ mm. It suggests a 2 pole connection with a crimp connector 3114/3111, however, it is to be used only with a special version of the Minimodul™, particularly 2,5 MSF 02.
