Vicor’s Maxi Family 24V input DC-DC converter modules are power components that combine advanced power processing, control, and packaging technologies. These modules are designed for performance flexibility, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. The actual size of the modules is 4.6 x 2.2 x 0.5 inches [117 x 56 x 12.7mm], making them a compact solution for a variety of applications.
Features & Benefits
The converter modules offer a DC input range of 18 to 36V and an isolated output that can operate down to 16V at 75% power after startup. They are also capable of withstanding input surges of 50V for 100ms. The DC output voltage ranges from 3.3 to 48V, with a height above the board of 0.43 inches [10.9mm]. The modules boast a high energy efficiency rate of up to 88% and a programmable output from 10 to 110% of nominal.
Regulation is maintained within ±0.25% from no load to full load, highlighting the module’s stability and precision. The power density can reach up to 99W per cubic inch, which allows for high-performance in tight spaces. The Maximum operating temperature at full load is 100°C. Noise reduction is achieved via low-noise Zero Current Switching and Zero Voltage Switching (ZCS/ZVS) architecture. Another significant feature includes being parallelable with N+M fault tolerance for scalable power solutions.

Product Compliance & Environmental Suitability
Ensuring environmental safety, the DC-DC converter modules are RoHS Compliant when selected with the F or G pin option. The modules have isolation voltages of 3000VDC from input to output, 1500VDC from input to base, and 500VDC from output to base. The operating temperature range is broad, from -55°C up to +100°C for specific product grades, ensuring stable performance under varying environmental conditions.
