KYCON D-Subminiature Connectors are designed for data communication input/output applications, meeting EIA, RS232C, and RS449 standards.
Mechanical Characteristics
These connectors feature precision machined contacts with a contact retention force of 10 Lbs and a contact separation force of 4 Oz, min.
Electrical Characteristics
The connectors have a contact current rating of 7.6 Amps for precision machined contacts and 5.0 Amps for precision formed contacts.
Features
The connectors are CSA certified, UL recognized, and have a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1000 V AC, min. They also feature bright tin shells for exceptional conductivity and grounding.
Performance Specifications
The connectors are made with shell steel material, tin finish, and indentations (dimples) on the plug only. The contacts are made of brass and phosphor bronze with a gold flash over nickel finish.
